Neil Daswani

Dr. Neil Daswani is a Venture Partner at Arc180 and Co-Academic Director of Stanford’s Advanced Cybersecurity Program. He has served as Chief Information Security Officer at Symantec's Consumer Business Unit, LifeLock, and QuantumScape, and has also led security initiatives and cutting-edge research at Twitter/X, Google, and Stanford.

Beyond his operating roles, Neil advises multiple venture capital funds on security and technical due diligence, and co-authored “Big Breaches” and “Foundations of Security,” two widely read works that dissect how major breaches happen and how to build systems that resist them. He holds over a dozen patents, has published extensively across the security field, and speaks frequently at top industry events.

Neil earned a PhD and MS in computer science from Stanford University, and a BS with honors from Columbia University—an academic foundation he has carried through two decades of building and defending some of the world’s most consequential systems.
